It’s been a long month for me; I just finished playing the four Futures that have been held in Egypt (Alexandria, Sokhna, and Solaymaneya). I won two weeks in singles and three weeks in doubles which is pretty well in this heat J I played around 31 singles and doubles matches in four weeks. It’s tiring but it feels good to give your best and get good results.
Starting from next week, I will practice in Gezira club with the rest of the Egyptian Davis Cup team, led by our captain Mostafa Naeem, in preparation for the Davis Cup tie that will be against Georgia on the 10th, 11th and 12th of July. Egypt lost to Georgia in 2004 in Georgia 3-2, Labadze, their number 1 player and a top 50 at that time, has dropped a lot in his ranking over the years so I think we have a really good chance to win especially that the matches will be held here in Gezira Club which will be a huge advantage for the Egyptian team. This tie will decide who will remain in the second group (Euro\Africa) and who will drop to the third group. So wish us luck!
Federer has done it! He finally won the French Open! I knew that he was going to play like that, Federer played today like there was no other chance for him, he knew that ever since Nadal lost this could be his chance to grab the title and be the greatest player ever. He deserved it this time so congratulations for Roger, and congratulations for me for winning another future today as well
